Wrist Twist for Display - Possible to Make More Sensitive?

I like the watch display on all the time so can surreptitiously see time when with others and it is impolite to look at watch. However, "always on" depletes battery in less than 14 hours (my day is almost always longer). The wrist twist works but need at least 45 degrees of motion and this much wrist motion is not subtle. Also, there is a very momentary but very noticeable and annoying delay before display lights up. It would be nice if there was an option to make the motion sensing much more sensitive. Sure that will make the display light up a lot when not necessary, and use battery in the process, but it might provide a better balance between needed daily battery life and the annoyance of not having it display the time on instant demand like every other modern watch does. Actually I am very surprised a simple power sipping LCD display was not used as then, not only would battery life be no concern, all desired parameters could be continuously displayed.
