Xbl achievements

I mean not purchase a certain achievement inside a game. I mean something like spending $5 to get 250 G.

Same as purchasing a certain achievement. That would make the whole system pointless.

I don't play single player, so I don't have too many non-multiplayer ones, unless my friends that play my box get them for me.

I think the idea has merit, but only if you actually had to complete tasks to get the Gamerscore. Like make it a pack that includes random things, like maybe for Halo, kill 100 enemies by sticking them or in Skyrim, kill 150 chickens or something like that. Make packs of additional achievements and sell them for $5.

Not directly but rarely in some EA racing games you can pay to unlock the cars so get maybe an achievement. Still I don't consider it buying achievement.

Yea, they do, it's called DLC (Downloadable Content), addon to games and sometimes they have extra achivement points depending on how large of a DLC it is.

But for buying points, that would make the whole system pointless. Achivements are Achievements, you get them for passing a point in a game or hitting a mark someplace. Your gamer score is based on the games you play. By buying them, it would flaw the whole system.

If you want to spend $3 for 200 achevement points, you can. Search the achievement sites, find a Windows Phone game with very easy achivements and spend the $3 in the marketplace and PLAY IT TO GET THE ACHIVEMENTS !

Or play the game for the story, I love multi-player but, I spend $50-60 on a game, I want to see the story that the programmers created the game for, then kill a few noobs.... :)

Maybe it's me but, I really enjoy the story of these games, to me, it's the main point of playing them...yes, even black ops 2 has a cool and fun story with it...

I don't play most games for fun. I play them for achievement points. If there is an achievement that I do not have, I am my teams worst nightmare. And no this is not breaking or making the system worse. There are people out there that don't like to play games but have a higher score. You don't want to pay then don't. But the option would be nice. If ps3 was offering this kind of thing, some people would jump.

IDK, buying achievement points would be like putting up a shelf in your living room, then going to a trophy store and buying enough 1st place trophies to fill the shelf. I suppose the shelf would look nice to visitors, but what do you say when they ask about how you got all those trophies?

Edit, don't get me wrong, I am an achievement whore and have played games beyond the point of fun, just to get those last few points... Smash Maniac on Angry Birds for example... Smash 250,000 blocks.

I don't want to be rude, but when people say how did you get that achievement and i tell them. I don't want their response to be something like wow you have no life. I don't play games for a long time. When I sit down to play a game or in other words whore out the achievements. I schedule what I can get the fastest or how many I can get in one play through.

Like I was happy that I got far cry 3. I whored 42 of 50 achievements under 12 hours. I was very satisfied even though I probably killed the fun for the people in co op.
