xBox Live messages on WP7

I do not currently have an xBox, but I'm getting one for Christmas (shhh, don't tell my kids), but I did set up an avatar on my WP7


so my friend at work has xbox, and we became "friends" on xbox live

When I try to send him a message from my WP7 in the xbox tile, it says:

Action Not Allowed:

you'll need to change your xbox live privacy settings to send this message.



anyone know what setting I change to fix that? I changed my privacy settings to "adult" and it still won't send

Is he already a friend? If not, then it might be set to where you can't message anyone unless they're a friend? I'm only guessing as I've never messed around with that stuff.

yeah, he's my only friend on xbox

Maybe its his setting. Can he send you one??

Try logging into your Xbox live profile and checking your privacy settings for messages, probably set to blocked for new accounts.
