If you guys haven't already: I would recommend you borrow a friend's iPhone for a second, install Xbox music on it, and compare it to the WP version.

You will be AMAZED. iPhones are generally known for having high quality snappy apps, and the same holds true for Xbox music. The app loads in a second, switches between pages fluidly, loads up song lists without delay, has a now playing screen accessible app-wide, has arguably better UX flow, and PLAYS MUSIC INSTANTLY. And this is only 3 stars in the AppStore....wow.

This is sort of very disillusioning for me. I've been on WP since WP7 and never seriously thought about switching until Xbox Music came along. WHY CAN'T MS BUILD SOMETHING THIS NICE FOR THEIR OWN OS (the only one Xbox Music is actually used on)?

There's no way the WP Xbox Music team is smaller than the Xbox Music team for iPhone. I feel as if Apple in general has provided a superior platform and tools to build with. They've been given a lot of time (before and after release), but MS's own internal developers simply can't match the iPhone app's quality. This speaks poorly of the platform and its direction.

I'm gonna try out the Android version of Xbox Music now.
