Xbox One vs PS4

Probably a biased forum to ask this question on but anyway.

For those that either own or have spent time with both consoles, which one would you own if you could only own one? And why?
What do you think are the strengths and weaknesses in your experience of each system?

I've only ever been a PlayStation player through and through. But I really love Microsoft and Windows and feel like maybe giving the Xbox a go.

My hubby is a PS4 guy through and through. We don't have anything Microsoft in our house except a single virtual copy of Windows. Just not big fan of their products. I asked him if he wanted an XBox to play games with his friends but he just isn't a fan.
