Xbox "Project Kennan" gaming handheld: Price, compatibility, launch window, and everything we know so far

I have a Lenovo Legion Go and don't envision myself upgrading anytime soon (especially when upgrading comes with a heavy asterisk now with the performance of the Z2 chips falling behind the Z1 and suggested cost of Z2Extreme devices; right now it seems more about efficiency which is great but doesn't give me anything to upgrade to). I am incredibly interested in what this could mean got gaming on windows for all. The Xbox Game Bar compact mode has thus far been surprisingly a huge boon for me. I use it constantly to launch games and has a surpringly intuinitive user interface and experience. I don't care too much about the Asus device, but I hope those updates don't get pushed too far out. Microsoft has a habit of announcing major improvements for XYZ coming THIS YEAR and then finally getting there 3 years late when everyone has sort of forgotten about caring.

If the Asus OEM that's coming is more of a flagship to help push along gaming on windows that'd be amazing for all. Microsoft spoke a big game at CES but didn't have anything to show for the promised improvements to windows gaming to make it more like gaming on Xbox. If this is the first materialization of that promise and it kicks off a wave of major gaming focused updates to windows gaming devices, that'd be a dream for me.
