Xbox smartglass not working

My Xbox One smartglass app on both my surface and my cell phone seem to not like the new year. They will not load and automatically close when I open them. I changed the date on my surface to 12/31/14 and the app worked but once changed back to current date, it stopped working. I got the same result on my cell phone.

There was an article today on WindowsCentral about it. Looks like its a widespread issue which I believe MS might be already fixing
