They should strike a deal with the movie industries, that if you rent a movie and end up liking it, that the cost of the rental goes to the price of purchasing the movie.

Example... Your rent Lord of the Rings for $3. If the original purchase price is $15 and you already have rented it, the purchase price for you would now be $12.

That might be useful for some people. However, other people might not find any use.

I've never purchased any movies, even back in the days of VHS/DVD. I've only rented or streamed movies. However, I don't have kids. Most people I know who have purchased movies did so for their kids (Disney movies mainly).

I find buying one two or three huge movies a year keeps a nice collection of the best.
