Yellow Screen of Death?

My lumia 950 has been quite finicky lately, and will crash with little to no warning. All of the times it has crashed, the last thing visible on the screen is a yellowish line thing that is in the middle of the screen. Has anyone else experienced this? Any suggestions as to what causes this?

If you're running an Insider build then anything is possible. If you're however on Production then you could try to remember what exactly you were doing when the event occurred.

In my case the screen would turn grayish white then black. I eventually traced the cause to UC Browser and another app, which I can't recall at the moment. Anyway, the idea is to try and identify what kind of usage immediately precedes the behavior.

What also helped was to turn off the device and remove the battery for a few minutes
