My Lumia 1020 takes fantastic shots but almost always adds a layer of yellow tint to the pictures. Any ideas why and how to make it stop adding the yellow tint?

Also what did of mean to shoot in raw format? How do o do that?

I don't have a short answer about the yellow tint.
Some 1020's or other Pureview cameras have this bug in prominence.

As for RAW (DNG) select JPEG (5MP) + DNG (38MP) in the capture mode box.

If you're on 8.1 it will be available in the Lumia camera app settings.
Be aware that DNG (RAW) files will save at over 40 meg each so they come at great expense to memory.

Ok so now I am confused. I just saw that settings and it reads it will save a copy of both high and low res of same picture. Why am I only seeing one pic when I take a picture instead of two?

You can see both via changing the visible version of picture from file info in your gallery. But you can't if using dng mode. You can't open dng files directly on phone. Transfer to computer and open with somethings like adobe photoshop.

Is there no way to avoid the yellow tint when using the camera with flash on? What is the best way to edit the photos straight on the 1020? I've tried Creative Studio, but am not sure how best to remove or minimise the yellow tint...

I use Fotor for fast editing photos on the 1020.

Is your lens really clean, it can get dirty

I'm not saying the 1020 doesn't produce some yellow tinted images, but the displays themselves are very warm colored. Highly suggest going into the screens color profile setting and making it cooler.
