You help choose my next laptop - requirements inside

Hi,

I need a new laptop. Its for work and I have some specific requirements to be met.

Part of my job involves me demonstrating software via a VM or two on customer sites. So I have some meaty RAM requirements.
I've used a 2014 MBP till now, but its getting old and MacOS is slowly getting worse.

Can anyone advise on possible candidates?

Must have:

• 13 or 14 inch screen, or at any rate smaller/lighter than my old 2014 Macbook Pro
• Windows 10
• 512Gb SSD or better
• 8th Gen i5 or i7 (not 7th)
• Must have MORE than 16GB RAM
• Projector connectivity

So far I'm limited to two - Thinkpad T480s (offers 24GB RAM) or Dell XPS 15 (32GB RAM option).

I'm leaning toward the T480s for the better reputation on build quality.

Are there any others I may have missed?

PS - Budget is not a constraint

I couldn't find the XPS 15 in an 8th gen CPU. All I could see was a 7th.

A couple questions: Why not a 7th? and have you considered a slim form factor desktop?
