Windows devices just aren't built to be dedicated tablets in 2020, but the iPad mini 5 is an excellent alternative.
Let's face it; Windows devices aren't the best dedicated tablets in 2020. Sure, you can grab some excellent devices like the Surface Pro 7 or the Surface Pro X, but they're best as ultra-portable PCs that can be used as tablets, not as dedicated tablets.
The lack of dedicated Windows tablets becomes even more clear if you're looking for smaller devices. The Surface Go 2 is a fun little device, but again, it's really best as a portable PC. Also, the Surface Go 2 isn't that small for a tablet with its 10.5-inch screen.
