Excited for both, but more excited for WP8. Been limping along with Android and iPhone for way to long. Having a device I can sync with my Zune pass is gonna be awesome.

I'm excited about WP8 hardware (Lumia 920) and W8 software on tablets. I am still hoping for a big surprise in WP8 software, but honestly, I'm waiting for Nokia and their apps.

Windows Phone 8. I quite like my Windows 7 laptop, but I'm extremely excited about WP8 and can't wait to get one of the new phones (it'll be my first WP in general)!

I'm excited for both, windows 8 the most though. In the long run I think it will be an awesome tablet experience.

Im more excited for Windows 8 and RT. I think if I (as well as many others) had an upgrade and the Lumia 920 for Verizon, i'd be much more excited for WP8!

More excited for Windows Phone 8 since I've been running Windows 8 Pro w/WMC on my computer since August. I don't know why people are so scared of Win 8, it's very easy to use and the tiles on the start screen give you the "phone" experience on your desktop or laptop. One click and your on the normal desktop. It loads very fast and it's nice to see the tiles on Win 8 work just like my phone.

I have a Lumia 900 and love it. I'm not a "fanboy", I just like the fact that Windows Phone always works. It never freezes, never locks up and everything I need to know is on a live tile. The camera on the 920 looks awesome and I can't wait to see what other improvements have been made, and for my purposes my Lumia 900 is great as it is.

I'm really excited about both, but I have to say that the Surface RT excites me a bit more, simply cos I don't have a tablet before so in a way it brings in more to the tablet than WP8 will to me, but it's a really close call regardless as I'm really excited about the Lumia 920 too!

Will also get Win 8 on my desktop, but my selection of the "Win 8 and RT devices" was almost solely targeted at the Surface.

I didn't vote since my choice is Win8 and devices, but I have zero interest in RT.

I'm happy with my current WP7.5 and won't upgrade to a WP8 device for a while.

WP8 all the way for me. I don't really have an interest in tablets so I don't feel that Win8 really brings anything to the table for me. I'm quite excited about WP8 though.

Both for me. But I will be getting W8 hybrid or touch ultrabook first as I sold my iPad and want to sell my desktop. I have a Lumia 900 which I bought only a few months back, and is still serving me well. :)

I'm looking forward to both, but I've been running Windows 8 on my main computer since it was released as a dev preview last November, dual booting with Win7 at first, but all by itself ever since I think the Consumer Preview, or maybe the update before that, I don't remember. I'm excited about WP8, but still have a burr in my hat over not getting the SDK.

Just give me all of them. My laptop will be upgraded to Windows 8 Friday, I'm hoping my Surface arrives next week, and I will be at a Verizon store on day one when WP8 is released. It'll be nice to be involved in only one ecosystem.

I'm more excited for Windows 8/RT. I was fully planning on getting an 8X or 920 off contract at launch. Now I am getting a Surface RT and am going to wait it out with a 900 till CES and MWC Q1 2013 to see what gen 2 Windows Phone 8 devices come out.

I'm not excited about neither. But I'll get Windows 8 day one, while probably skipping the first generation of Windows Phone 8 so far.

    Windows Phone 8 definitely.

My mobile is probably the most used item i have, more than TV, computer, tablet, console. I probably spend more time a day using my phone, than i do driving, or most other activities.

This is how I justify buying a 600 smartphone :D

While true for me too, I'm still a bit more excited over the Surface, cos I have no equivalent device to it yet, while I have a WP7,5 device :P

Well on the home front I'm excited about both. Maybe a little more excited about Win8 than I am about WP8 mostly because of the carrier I'm on T-MO on the company end of things I'm outright horrified about the cost to upgrade all 44 computers and 30+ wp7 devices. I'm taking a pass on this turn around except for this machine it will go Win8 pro..

In reality, it's not one ecosystem, though... Windows Phone apps won't work on Win R/T unlike the Apple ecosystem, where iPhone apps will actually run on iPad and iPod. There's the Windows Store and the Windows Phone Store. Two very similar ecosystems, created by the same company, but not the same. So, if you buy a Win R/T device, like Surface R/T, you need to understand that out of the box, there are not nearly as many apps available for it as there are right now for phone. That will change, hopefully, but for now, it's quite limited.

Also, I don't think Microsoft is doing all that great a job of drawing a clear picture of "what is R/T?", and I think a lot of people are going to be upset when they figure out that, "Hey, why can't I install my *insert favorite application from Windows desktop environment here* on my Surface???"

Microsoft may be on the right track as far as what the future looks like for them in their ecosystem, but I don't think it's being communicated all that well, other than to those of us on the inside of the tech circles.
