I got tired of waiting and pulled the trigger on this: Nokia Lumia 1520 RM-938 32GB Smartphone A00016720 B&H Photo

It's a beast. Huge battery. Whopping storage potential (ignore the 64GB... it does take 128GB microSDXC). Very nice display. Great camera. Works on all AT&T + all T-MoUS.

Best part? Get it NOW and stop salivating.

I'm really happy to have this as an upgrade to my 925...

The most I've heard about this device is that if it is even in production or if Microsoft and Nokia have any plans at all on a successor to the 1520. Again if all rumors are true. Then I don't know what you've read or heard, but the device is said to be headed to T-Mobile, At&t and Verizon Wireless. The specs are scarce but of all rumors put together. (Again its just rumors!) There's talk about it supporting a 2,560 x 1,440 resolution (2K.) The processor is said to be either at Snapdragon 801 or 805. camera is said to be either a 21 MP or 41 MP? As for the OS I would guess Windows Phone 8.1 update 2... Or if they make us wait long enough then possibly Windows Phone 8.2/9? I'm not sure about the battery, I'll personally guess a 3,400 mah. As for memory multiple sources are throwing around 16GB or 32GB with 3GB or RAM.

That's all I got on this subject. I currently am on Verizon with the ICON and am desperately waiting for this device to be real...... If it isn't, well then IDK. LOL Hope this helps with your question and wonders!

My prediction is 801 processor, same pixel density camera as 1520 with some improvements, i.e., perhaps a bit faster, 6 inch 1080p screen, latest update of 8.1, ships before Christmas of this year, approximatelt same battery size...

The media leaks have no information on the 1525. The Icon is a stunning phone but a bigger display would be more than welcome.

I'm beginning to think that we will not see a new flagship from Nokia/MSFT this year. If they had something in the works we should know about it by now. The Note 4 became real yesterday and the iphone(s) 6 will be real next Tuesday. If Nokia has a new superphone coming out and they are not leaking real info then they do not know how to play the game.

With a lack of a replacement for the 920 in the at&t lineup, I am starting to consider a 1520, and I would definitely want the 1520.3 variant. I am just not 100% about that size!

I stayed up last night to watch the Nokia announcements and no mention of the 1525... Perhaps since it is such a small incremental enhancement over the 1520 they did not highlight it?

I am going to sell my 920 and 1020 and wait for either the 1525 to become official or another flagship to be announced. Other than that, I'm considering the ATT 1520 and get it unlocked for T-Mobile. Tired of waiting for a flagship for T-Mobile. I'm also considering the HTC One for Windows since we KNOW that T-Mobile's getting it. I'll carry my compact DSLR for my photography needs. What are they waiting for?

At least HTC is trying to move the OS forward with the M8. It is currently king of the hill spec-wise. Nokia seems to be sitting on their arses while Samsung, apple and htc are getting after it.

I suppose the most pertinent question is: When is the next phone/devices Microsoft event likely to be?

History is usually a pretty good guide for these things so what other Microsoft-centric events or major events in the industry occur in the lead up to the holiday season?

The rumours of the 1525 have been preventing me from seriously thinking about finding a 1520 online (we do not have the 1520 in Canada).

My major problem is that I'd like to see the 1520 / 1525 in person so that I can decide about the size. Curse the poor support and availability of Windows Phone in Canada. I'm perpetually stuck in the waiting game for the next Nokia flagship. I think that I'll just have to ride out my ATIV S until I'm due for an upgrade in summer 2015. :(

Thank you! I was so wishing that it came to Verizon, But Microsoft had to be their dumb ***'s and make a freakin exclusive. Just how stupid it is to all of the others that don't get the 930 cause Verizon's 'Variant' is with them only. Such as waist......
