Here are a few snaps of rumored and cancelled lumia 750 AKA GUILLIN , which was supposed to be launched either at the end of 2015 or early 2016 but never made it. It would have been a significant upgrade lets check out the specs:

Lumia 750 rumored specifications:

Qualcomm Snapdragon 410, 1.2GHz
Adreno 306 GPU
1GB RAM / 8GB + microSD
LTE support
5", 720?1280 Screen
8MP 3264?2448, Zeiss optics, autofocus, LED flash, 1080p@30fps
5MP ffc ( LED flash)
Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, DLNA, hotspot
BT v4.0, A2DP, LE, apt-X
2650mAh battery
GPS (A-GPS GLONASSL) Accelerometer, proximity, luminosity, led notification

would you have bought it? considering it also holds a front camera flash.

yes it does, with 5" of screen 2600 mAh of battery is a benchmark now. Also the camera would have been great, the name says it all ( carl zeiss) the back cover does look a bit strange, the camera shape on the back cover is confusing.

Looks like it would have had the large round camera hump seen on Lumia 830 and the keyhole cutout is to fit the components. Would have been nice to have seen the exact same camera as 830. That one is an underrated success in my opinion.

But it looks like the camera is embedded in the phone, looking at the picture of the back of the phone without the cover. Also, looks like the cover is missing the holes for the LED flash, which I think is to the left of the camera... not sure what the second round part is.

i have serious doubts that the back cover was meant for 750, the camera outline and 2 small round grills at the bottom makes no sense. Maybe it was an early prototype with under development back cover
If the Lumia 750 was released, I would've been thinking about getting it.

indeed, i would have jumped from my 730.

Looks like 2 different phones to me. The yellow battery cover looks to have squared corners while the phone itself has rounded corners. And then how do you explain the camera in the third photo?

This.

Microsoft was wise to scrap this one. If you recall, they already had a glut of low to mid range phones. We were dying to hear anything about a flagship at that time. A 700 series phone would have pushed us all over the edge.

Valid point. Then again, they could pull a BlackBerry and have a third party company manufacture and sell Lumias under the Microsoft branding.

Or heck. Just use the "Lumia" name without the Microsoft branding....
Weren't they originally manufactured in Vietnam?
