Considering how many of BGR's "exclusive" reports turn out to be false, I wouldn't count on it. Would be nice though. I am buying day one.

My guess is (if this was real) that this was the original date that Windows Phone devices were to be available until they got pushed back.

That would be pretty nice. Still might be able to grab an IOS convert or two which looks likely based on the comment sections of all of the articles that have published since Wed morning.

I can certainly HOPE this is true, since I'm itching to submit an order, BUT, I have a feeling this is a pre-order date and the actual launch is more like the 29th-2nd as has been rumored thus far.

That said, it will definitely "ASAP" because WP8 is officially RTM tonight!

I hope the carriers don't take ten years to do their testing like they always do with other OS releases/updates.

Only a few weeks after iPhone 5 if its released then. Iphone has been pushed back. Not expected to ship for an extra couple weeks it sounds like.
