How do I get my Lumia 1320 off of the spinning gears WP8.1 GDR1?

[SOLVED] Lumia 1320 stuck on spinning gears WP8.1 GDR1..Help !

My Lumia 1320 was running on WP8.1 with Cyan firmware. I downloaded and installed GDR 1, it reached the spinning gears. The status bar shows complete but the gears are spinning for over 30 mins now. This is happening the first time with my phone. Anyone else faced the same issue ? Please help me out if possible.

I read on the blog that if we remove the SD this it proceeds to the next step. But the big question is that I have all my apps installed onto the SD card. So how would the migration steps take place properly ?

Had the same issue with a lumia 630. In my case I removed my sd card as some have mentioned then I did a soft reset and it continued with the migration part of the update. hope this helps.

Wow I'm really lucky !! Just now without doing anything the spinning gears completed and the migration steps have started. What a sigh of relief ! Phewww.......

NOTE : The spinning gears were running for around 40 mins in all.

I don't think removing the SD card is an "absolute" solution.

I just upgraded my Lumia 1320 (RM-994) to the GDR1 update with my SD card in the phone.
It upgraded just fine. You might want to make sure to have enough space on the phone's internal memory ...

Hopefully, this is not too much of a sticky problem.

Is the update available on UK CV firmware? Or are you all on the DP?
I keep searching for update on my 1320 but it says it is up to date.

Same problem here! However, by removing the SIM Card and SD Card after I turn off my 1320. Problem solved and the phone just update to wp8.1 GDR1 normally
