since the update on my microsfot 640 xl last night its not behaving like it used to. when loading web pages its flashing and blinking like its struggling. so do you tink I can use the nokia recovery tool to help out?

A clean install is not a bad idea...

Start smaller. Try a Soft Reset and see if that helps. Hold the Volume Down + Power buttons until the phone vibrates and reboots (about 10 seconds). Soft Reset does not cause data loss and often clears up glitchiness. If that doesn't solve it, then a clean install with a reset tool would be better than a Hard Reset because if you have a corrupted file it may also be bad in the backup stored on phone that a Hard Reset would use.
