Might be a stupid question, but I'm looking into buying a mixed reality headset, but notice the developer kit is much cheaper than its consumer edition. I was wondering if it would be I'll advised to buy a dev kit for regular use?

I've read a few other forums that didn't help me on this subject, any answers would be greatly appreciated!

The major differences to watch out for with dev kits is that the hardware might not be the same as the final config, but with WMR kits, that isn't as big of a deal. Warranty issues are the major one. Dev kits do not get the consumer protections that picking one up at Best Buy grants you. If you are not an active dev with a MSDN account, don't expect any help from MS if your hardware goes belly up.

If you are okay with those two things, have at it.
