Are there currently any "killer app"- type VR games out there, that must be experienced(even if it's not your usual type of game)? For example, I've heard that the VR version of Fallout 4 is amazing.

Eagle Flight is always a nice change of pace. You can get a real comfy feel from it.

What about something that's a little more story-oriented?

I'd give Lone Echo a shot if you'd like something with story.

That one looks really interesting. Here's hoping I win that Oculus so I can try it, as it looks like it's exclusive to that platform.

Lone Echo is a must Must play VR game. It has hours of fun and an amazing storyline. Be warned though, the game has you play as if you're in zero G and it can make some people have VR sickness. But it is awesome nonetheless!

It's interesting how games are able to "trick" our bodies. Sea of Thieves, which is not a VR game(but would probably make a great one) has been making a number of users seasick.

Surprised nobody has mentioned VR Chat.
Is it a game? Is it a social experiment? Who knows. It has zero story-line (Aside from sitting around and listening to a drunk ex-pilot tell his life story) but never-the-less I think it's fascinating interacting with people who also have VR.

I'm very intrigued by the Settlers of Catan VR, too...I love the idea of being able to virtually hang out with my board game friends who are in different locations to play a board game.

I've played it in non VR mode and had to stop after a while... And I love horror movies. But it's too disturbing for my taste

Horror is interesting- everyone is affected by different things. I can watch a ton of gore, but got squeamish watching the scene in "Raw" where she tries human flesh for the first time.

(sorry for any spoilers but it is a movie about cannibalism after all...)

I love horror movies, except the ones like "Saw" where we see bones breaking and flesh ripped. I prefer suspense to realistic gore because I can't see that.

My list of must trys are all free I think! Google Earth, The Lab, Google Blocks, Rec Room and Mindshow.

There are lots of other games I love but these five give you a well rounded view of what VR can do. Transport you to new places, play games, build, socialise and create.

Honestly I loved Space Pirate Trainer when I played it at a friends house. That and The Lab are two of the best demos for VR I've seen. Quick to pick up, but sometimes difficult to master.
