If your Brio webcam stopped working after installing the creators Update, here is the fix.
Go to device manager right click on imaging devices right click Brio update driver, then click browse my computer for driver software, then click let me pick from a list of available drivers on my Computer.
Now choose USB video device, click next, it will say installing drivers, windows has successfully update your drivers.
    No it will work again.

I'm glad that I've found this thread. Yesterday I installed AlterCam - ultimate webcam software for my webcam as I had been convinced that this programme could provide me with different live video effects. But unfortunately, I haven't tried it yet as today my Brio webcam stopped working after installing Creators Update. I hope I will cope with the issue by myself and test a new software. Thanks for the detailed information, I'm going to use it as a guide!

Yes, at first, you should keep the option on: Win > Settings > Privacy > Camera > Let apps use my camera hardware.
