    Not just the modern app shortcuts, it would be nice if we could pin fully functional live tiles to the desktop just like we had gadgets in Windows Vista & 7.

    what we need is to remove all tablet crap including live tiles from the desktop leave that to the tablets

    Nope, if you don't like live tiles. Unpin them and don't use them. They're great for hybrid machines and great for desktops when using them for a "quick glance" --- weather, e-mail, news, stocks.

    Wonder if StarDock (Start8's developer) will make it, sounds like something up their alley.
