I can see the win 7 machines under the "network" tab in explorer, but I cannot access the shared folders on the machines. It's telling me I don't have permission to access them. The tablet could access them with Windows 8.1, but not with 10 tech preview.

I'm not using "homegroups", I just set the folder permissions to allow anyone to modify them, and it's worked fine, but for the life of me, I can't get access to them with Win 10 preview. It's got my account set as "private" under network and sharing.

Any ideas?

I got it working! Found this:

This fixed the issue:

Using REGEDIT it's necessary to create a DWORD value called 'AllowInsecureGuestAuth' in HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanmanWorkstation\Parameters and set this new value to 1.
