While looking for workarounds for the aforementioned error on my Lumia 950XL, I noticed that the Desktop Feedback Hub had an entry that had this workaround to fix the error on desktop/laptop/tablets that are running Windows 10 Insider Build 14332:
1. Make sure that the Groove App is closed on the device where you want to implement this workaround.
2. From a PowerShell console, run the following command:
ren $env:LOCALAPPDATA\packages\Microsoft.ZuneMusic_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\PlayReady $env:LOCALAPPDATA\packages\Microsoft.ZuneMusic_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\PlayReady_OLD
With this done, you can open Groove on your desktop/laptop/tablet and play your Music Pass/DRM-protected music without further issue.
