Messasing app keyboard input doesnt work?

So i can copy and paste stuff into the messaging app, but it cant type. I tried different keyboards, rebooted the pc, etc. Any options?

this is for pc? I don't think you can send messages from the messaging app on pc, not yet at least. Maybe that's why you can't type. The pc doesn't have a SIM, does it?
