Please elaborate on how you would change the UI for the icons, notification center, and Xbox Music. Thanks!

Android apps? Really? You want apps that wouldn't be optimized, have mixed UI and UX, and would require them to bloat up the OS t to even run?

Being a windows phone user for years, I'll encourage you to hop in and join the club. Being in Windows Phone definitely has its "ups" and a few "downs" depending on how they are taken.

The "app gap" is not really an issue considering the malware issues Android phone user encountered in the past (or are still encountering now), and that the apps available in the Windows Phone Store are more than enough to make your phone a productive extension of yourself. True we don't have as much apps as the other OS platforms, but a) we only need so much apps and b) this protects us from a lot of junk apps being published and downloaded. Lastly, the Android OS architecture is different from that of the Windows Phone OS - this means that Android apps will remain Android apps unless a Windows Phone version is written.

Some comments on your wish list (in addition to your #2):
#1. What kind of changes? There will be changes in the UI in the coming Windows 10 update.
#2. Done.
#3. You can only do so much gestures within the space of a small screen, or a small three-dimensional space above your screen if your phone supports 3D gestures. Too many gestures may over-complicate the phone and render it unappetizing for users who simply want a phone.
#4. This is now present in the latest PFD update.
#5. This is rumored to be coming in future updates.
#6. Do you mean an option to lock your messaging and other apps with a passcode? Then don't let anyone know your four-digit unlock PIN and use Kid's Corner or Apps Corner.
#7. This may be subject to some delay since Apple acquired the exclusive rights to the mobile finger print scanner manufacturer.
#8. Better integration... I suppose there's always room for improvement.
#9. Haven't tried this.
#10. This can be a neat addition.
#11. This is app-related, independent of the OS. The developer of the app has to work on this, not the developers of the OS.
#12. This would be awesome!
#13. Yeah, but then Windows Phone isn't designed to be mainly a Windows Playstation.
#14. Might be too cumbersome for a phone... would be great on a Surface though.
#15. No comment.
