[Experimental] Install W10 on ANY phone running 8.1

Is there any way to download wp8.1.x to use with the Lumia software recovery tool separately. At home I've limited net but in uni I do have good access but no admin accounts, at home I do have my own pc (I need to reinstall the firmware and is to get the sysfreespace high again.) Then I can upgrade to ten using home connection.

there's a way to download a firmware and install it with a program. With Nokia Care Suite. I've done it yesterday.

there's a reason the release was as narrow as it was initially.

MS thinks its dealing with only Snapdragon 400 devices, so don't mess it up with the variability of your other devices. (I would think at least)

Well, mine is a L1320. I can definitely expect.

Lol its not the storage space you need rather the space on sys partition ...To check syspartition space click the about section in Windows Insider app..then divide the number by 1024*1024, then u will get total sys partiton space in MB (not GB)...Ensure this space is around 400-600mb for safe installation

ok guys,i think we are have enough info about how to get this hack success for win 10 tp,just read this thread from the first page really carefully n you will get the update!! now,what we need is,post your experience after get the update (ex: what bugs you get,what kind of problems comes )
from my experience use my 1520 win 10 tp for phone from chinese method,here what i have:
1. when i browsing on ie,i can't save pictures or downloading musics
2. i can't change the background picture at the first try ( succes after 4 till 5 time crash )
3. lagg when scrolling start menu n opening gallery
4. phone get hot
5. when phone get hot,controlling volume from volume navigate on screen is not working at all n i need to hit the volume button
6. sometime,suddenly my wifi on event there are no wifi arround me ( i set my wifi setting manually turn on and uncheck the list for automatically connect wifi hotspot provide by mobile operator )
7. i cannot find where is my bluetooth received files on file explorer (video,documents,pictures,music)

that's all for now,i will tell you later when i got another problems, how about you all? post your experience here

it is probably the issue that I wrote about a few pages back where your 8.1 firmware is too new, please read thru to find out what im talking about.

I'm Sorry, I don't know why I typed 6.3 GB. It is 630 MB Free sys space!! And I know that I have to check through the Insider App. Thanks for your reply anyway!! But it is not helpful!!

After the reset the Windows Insider App tells me that its done.
I shall go check phone updates to get updated.
When I check it tells me again no Update available... Its the china method.

Used the Chinese method and was able to update to W10.

Used Chinese method. Happily running Windows 10... and on a non Lumia!

Not the smoothest experience, but W10 added to the slimmest and most beautiful Windows Phone (Yezz Billy 4.7) is quite remarkable!

Not having glance is okay for me, but when I try to set internet APN, both directly and manually, it says "there maybe a problem with your access point settings" and doesnt setup, hence mobile data is not working.

How did you manage to get your mobile data working on your L520., ?

If you didn't join Preview for Developers before, you will get 341 version update first, reboot twice, then get WP10 update...You are at halfway in the process

Goto Insider app and check again for Insider Fast builds then it says rebooting in 5..4..3..2..1 seconds. After rebooting check for updates this time it will definitely download the Windows 10..
