Microsoft has Retracted Windows 10 for Phones Preview for Lumia 520, 525 and 526, so if you own and trying to upgrade, we seriously recommend you to stay away unless you get an official go for these devices from the company again. The problem was that when a lot of enthusiasts tried it, and found bugs, and then moved ahead with the roll back, the devices go bricked.
It is possible to roll back the devices using the Windows Phone Recovery Tool after installing the Windows 10 for phones preview. This was confirmed by a Microsoft representative in the company?s support forum. He added:
?We are pausing build availability for these devices temporarily while we investigate the issue and work with customers who have reported problems.?
In case you are already on the preview program with any of these devices, make sure not to use the recovery tool for a while. It is better to live with those known issues than bricking your device. Microsoft is currently investigating and Sure a solution will be rolled out soon after testing it.
