Hey I am planing to install windows 10 TP on my lumia 1520, was wondering how stable is the technical preview because this is my daily phone, and I use office, navigation, and camera very frequently.
    Is it worth to install?
do I need to wait for next TP?

I don't recommend to install in your main phone. It is still very unstable. Do what I did... I purchased for $29 dollars a 635 just for testing the preview. I have as well a 1520 as my main phone but I will not touch with any preview until the OS reach beta quality.

Currently using the second build tp on my lumia 1520. Encountered some issues, but they're manageable. Better to wait for the next build.

It has some rough edges still. In the new update i have massive battery drainage for instance.
I would not recommend it for everyday use yet, even though i do so myself. It's still to buggy. But the features they are implementing are awesome!

    DON'T DO IT.

READ THIS, especially the known issues section: New Windows 10 Technical Preview build now available for phones

    and then make a decision.

I strongly recommend you do not.

I have had it on my daily driver for about a week and it has crashed the messaging app a few times but that is really it.
OFFICE IS NOT ON IT YET so if you use onenote or any other office features, don't do it.
Other then that, I like it alot and it seems to be fine (outside of expected bugs) like slowness here and there.

I use it on my main phone it's a 1520. Better wait for the next release. It's stable but a bit buggy you need to hard reset your phone to make it run a bit better. The touch screen freeze sometimes and some apps crashing.

I've been running it the last few days with minor issues. Background moves over sometime, can't seem to save a picture from IE, couple of hang ups switching apps and my lock screen got stuck once. Overall it's been positive considering It's TP. Whenever I do have an issue I go right to the feedback app and hit "me too". I think I'll do a week then decide if I want to revert to 8.1 or ride it a little longer. Only thing that really bugs me is the lack of office apps but I knew that going in.

Nope, not on your main phone.

Get a cheap 635 or second hand 520 off ebay and use that.

For all the people recommending a cheap 520 or a 635 to try out 10 TP, I did that for a few weeks on my 635. The experience was slow and buggy and really sub-optimal. Once I reverted the 635 back to stock WP8.1.1, it ran like a champ

It seems that MSFT has realized that 512MB of RAM just doesn't cut it with Win10 and ergo all new WP devices even really low end stuff is coming out with at least 1GB of RAM. So FWIW, I think the experience on a 635 or a 520 is also going to be sub-optimal primarily because of 512MB of RAM on these devices.
    YMMV.
    Good luck.
And yes, do not put 10TP on your 1520.

It is a preview OS... It is not optimized yet for 512mb but eventually it will be.

Even so my Nokia Lumia 520 is running pretty smoothly (bugs here and there of course) its my main phone too. Its not bad now at all. 😊
