Installing TP on my only Lumia 625

I have been able control myself into not installing windows 10 on my phone until Developers preview hit by, but the wait grew upon me and i am unhesitatingly installing windows 10 on my only Lumia phone.
First off i would like to know that if it can handle daily usage on my daily driver?
Secondly, if I choose to revert back to 8.1, will the process be smooth and will I lose any of my data?
Help is appreciated.

1. Can it handle daily driver usage?
Depends on the individual user, but the consensus is No.

(For me? Absolutely NOT.)

2. If you revert to 8.1, it will be as if you had factory reset your phone. So you should've made sure your backups were in order in 8.1.

But a friend of mine reverted back to 8.1 and none his data had been lost

The only way that would be possible is like Xandros9 said, doing a file backup and restoring when you revert back. I've installed/uninstalled W10/8.1 twice in my 521 & every time it wipes my phone clean.
