Windows 10 and 640XL

Does the new update work well for the Lumia 640XL? I'm scared to try it out because my Ativ S got bricked when I tried it and this is a new phone.

Yes and no. I would not since the 640XL is your daily driver. This preview isn't for those that have just one device to use. Tread lightly.

I did it anyways and it works quit well, I had some lagg in the beginning but that's over. It works good and I only want to know how can I answer messages when I'm not in the app if I get the notification?

And the only thing that bothers me is that the battery icon is very small and ugly

works fine but cant play music from sd card

Not a problem, I downloaded my music from music+ but then it al got deleted so now I'm using Mixradio.

But how can I answer notifications without going into the app?
