Why can't I upgrade preview builds?

Cant upgrade preview builds

I am stuck on build 10166 when i try to update it says that there are errors updating please try again (0x8000ffff) I dont want to do a hard reset, I thought there was an app that Microsoft released to fix update errors like this. I cant remember what it was called and I cant find the windows central article on it.

Never mind, It seems the problem has fixed itself, I just checked my update settings now and it said schedule a restart ( which it hasn't done before) so i just clicked restart now, it seems to be updating ok now.
