I have a Lumia 640, and I have been hesitant to upgrade, for fear that Win10 Mobile my be resource heavy, or still too buggy to put on my only phone.... Thoughts?

Are you OK with spending the time erasing the phone and starting fresh at a moment's notice?
Then sure, you can try it.

If your phone is mission critical and needs to be online 24/7, don't do it quite yet.

Hi, from my experience I would wait, especially if you are happy with how WP8.1 performs.
I have tried a few builds on my secondary Lumia 625 and have always ended up rolling back to WP8.1 after about a month.

Unless you have another device don't do it, it requires a lot of time and effort quite often as well.

I just did on a whim, and while there are a lot of super cool features, I really should've just stayed on 8, which was easier, smoother, etc and took less effort to use since I just don't have the time to keep up with 10. I am really looking forward to the final build though!
On a similar topic, I know you can use the recovery tool to roll back, but about how long does that take? As in, closer to an hour or so, or several hours?

Takes about 15-20 mins to roll back on my Lumia 625.
I think when you first install the Recovery Tool you have to download the image for your phone from Microsoft which can take a while.
But subsequent roll backs only take me 15-20 mins.

Thanks. I went ahead and did it yesterday and was surprised at how fast it was. Downloading the program, the image, and finishing up was about 45 minutes, and I appreciate 8.1 even more now. 10 was fun and has a lot of great features, but I really like things like using Cortana from the lock screen and being able to search. 😊
