Who's got build 10572? How's it working for you?

I am unable to see cortana in windows 10 preview built 10.0.10166. Plz Help

L920 here. Generally fast all around like last build. Maybe a little faster. But it's running cool so far. I hope they killed the heating bug. Will see.

Minor bugs I've run into:
- Lock screen unlock swipe gesture moves up only the letters without the background picture. I hope this is not a performance optimization feature.
- Store app is a bit sluggish at times and search function keyboard quits if you try to search while installing another app in background. And turning off live tile doesn't take effect.
- Keyboard doesn't come up sometimes in some apps. Multiple reattempts eventually bring up the keyboard.

My Lumia 1020 still has no battery usage info -- everything shows 0%.



Hopefully there's some improvements hidden in this build.

I'm going to wait for 10575 since this bug is still there. Check your data usage statistics, they might also show zero

Guys, is there a way to filter out certain faces from People app live tile? I would like to keep a medium size tile with face bubbles but I have some FB contacts that I rather not see on my screen!

I will jot down some changes that I observed
Settings>Storage

Temporary Files--New..we can even delete the telemetry data

System & Reserved..shows virtual memory

Installed Apps..we can search and sort

Other Files..in mine shows whatsapp backup..will be redirected to file explorer if we click on it

Display..new option "Try to fix wireless display connections"

Maps..can be stored to SD card

NFC..payment options..but cant use now..waiting for future builds

VPN..I dont know what's the use of those two toggles

Your Email & Accounts..some changes are there

Updates..there is an option to defer updates as in PC..to know more..

This is a really good idea! WDRT can install in minutes while upgrading probably took hours. Having two upgrade option would be nice, OTA for normobs and WDRT for everyone else. Hope this option available soon or after RTM at least.

You should take note of the word 'RECOVERY', it is the main point in WDRT. It basically means that if anything goes wrong, you are be able to go back to the latest, most stable build. For now the most stable isnt windows 10 mobile for sure.

UPDATE: After the upgrade to Build 10572 finishes on your phone – your phone might appear stuck at a black screen. Let it sit for about 10-15 for it to complete the data migration step that finalizes the upgrade. After that, your phone should be fine.

Damn just did a hard reset and fresh install and I am still stuck on 10549.4, it can't see the latest 10572. what to do ??
Will using the recovery option work ? or since I'm in Australia its not ready ??

OK, one welcome improvement is the People tile has bigger circle pictures now.

Of course, they're still circle pictures, so it still sucks big time over what it used to be, but there's maybe a 30% chance instead of no chance in hell, as it was prior to this build, I'll leave the tile big enough for them to appear instead of making it the smallest size.

Yeah I'd prefer just the people logo, I don't like seeing all these contacts from twitter and people that I rarely talk too and the circles ???

Updated to 10572 on my L535, so far good, no issue, I did not hard rest it to avoid setting up Cortana, Languages and emails again, seems like battery drain issue has been fixed.

Each and every time we cannot go back to 8.1. for every new build like 10549 and 10572, why you cannot help with this issue and this is a real frustration for insiders as with every build the crashed app in old gets cured in new but again in new build the old working gets crashed.

I think please avoid giving upgrades to existing lumia to w10m don't worry about market share because the performance will be slower and many phones will loose its life.


frankly speaking this L830 will be mine last wp as am jumping to android. Really a big headache.

I don't understand why they are in a hurry, let android OS, iOS take the complete market share. Take your time build a complete OS with all bugs and errors then release to both FAST and SLOW insider give at least a month and start collecting reviews from them.

What i seen in current that they just running with fixing a minor bug and releasing build.

My request take time and release.

Am bored updating from 8.1 to 10.

Instead of fixing bugs please fill the GAME GAP when i saw GAMELOFT they have release much more than what we have in store.

also provide a controller for XBOX in mobile for playing game like same experience as PC and Xbox.

This this few things they would change i assure that Microsoft will loose faith of customer.

they are not going as per customer needs thats why they lack behind they are in their own world.

after a couple hours use... not the best news. phone, people and messaging constantly crashing and links not working open a contact and then hitting Send Message won't work unless you tap it a few times. Skype Video call was a mess... previous build seemed more stable in this regard.

Got it installed on my HTC One M8. Too early to give it a grade yet. Apps in the store are not smooth scrolling yet. I'm thinking my phone needs to sit untouched overnight to complete whatever its doing under the hood. I do like what I see but no grade yet. Office apps are doing weird stuff too. I can't copy / paste from Outlook to One Note. Very odd. So I can't give a grade yet.

So far, it's WONDERFUL. However, in the last half an hour, my 1520 has been getting warm on standby, and battery saver tells me Groove Music is using 35% of my battery being active... and it's not even open, nor have I touched it in the last three hours. This is worrying. Let's see what happens
