Should I install it on my LUMIA 520 then? This is the only phone I have and I don't even have a PC to go back to 8.1. But I am tempted to try Windows 10 Mobile.

Even with the latest build being much more stable and quicker to respond, it is not recommended for daily drivers at this time. If you have only one phone and no access to a computer to utilize the Windows Device Recovery tool, you will want to sit out these builds until something hits RTM.

Well I just couldn't help and it's done downloading 50%. I will use one of my friend's PC for rolling back in case something goes wrong. I am willing to take the risk and I will be sharing my experiences with the build. Thank you all!

Cure that curious by install this build. You will not satisfied before try by yourself. On previous build someone tell me its good enough, worth to install. After i install, i roll back hahaha yours 'stable' and mine is different. Imo this build is better than before, not too good not too bad also. It has several problem, like stuck after nokia logo(just wait till it boot up), bad experience on fist time use, after reset my lumia 720 getting better.

If i decide to roll back to Windows Phone 8.1, what would be the size of the download?

Around 1.51 GB. Also next time before upgrading to W10M, you should try to reflash your phone with WDRT first to make sure it's compatible. Sometimes WDRT doesn't work for certain PC/USB port/phone.

Ok thanks. The build worked quite buggy after updating even with hard reset but has got pretty stable after a day of use. This build is actually usable on 520, if you use carefully. Thanks!

In the end,Win 10 will work as fast as 8.1 on 512mb RAm so dont worry

In the end as in when W10 has long been released and fully optimised? WP8.1 is way more efficient on these older dual core devices. It's not even close.

I normally use Win10 Home on an old Core Duo notebook born with Xp Home :winktongue: Slow startup, as my 520 with build, but pretty fast during normal and intensive use.
I'm sure the RTM mobile will be far close the 8.1 experience on millions 520 lumia sold all over the world

I hope so, as I plan to keep my 1020 as a backup device as there's no point in selling it today.

However, MS has no need to optimise W10M for dual core devices as all newer devices, even low end, are quad core.

On the contrary, he needs A LOT: Lumia 520 it's the best seller Microsoft device till now in the world. It was the trend setter, the first for Microsoft realizing that "Cheap devices with a lot of services inside are the real business" same as low cost Androids.
