Good day ...

i have lumia 640 xl running wp8.1 i want to upgrade to w10 should this be automatically or i have to do it manual as i can see many users has w10 on the same device .. If i have to install manual how can i do this , is it safe to do it and can i downgrade to wp8.1 back ...

Windows 10 Mobile is still unfinished software. It's not yet intended to be used on phones which must be completely reliable, so expect bugs, performance issues, and sometimes having to hard reset your phone meaning you will lose all data. If that doesn't bother you, then see this:

That being said, the current build is rather good and probably the first I'd consider viable as a daily driver. Just know what you're getting yourself into. Any problems or inconveniences you have are entirely your fault for having experimented with pre-release software.

As good as it to get the preview, there is so many risk with it that it makes me sad
