Recovery Tool Not Working

Update my Fierce XL to the Redstone build using Fast Ring Insider to give that build a test. Decided today I wanted to move to the Slow Ring for now instead. Went to use the Recovery tool as I have done in the past with my Lumia 925 but it did not work. First It did not recognize my device. When I clicked on "my device was not recognized" and then on "Alcatel" it said to put my device in Flash Mode but did not give instructions after that. Tool is still not recognizing the Fierce XL after that, a soft reset and then a hard reset with no restore point selected. Any tips?

How to get Windows Device Recovery Tool to work

Can't seem to get the tool to work with my Fierce XL. Did as the forums and the Tool said to do, putting my device in "Flash Mode", and connecting it and starting the app in exactly the order as posted in the forums and instructed by the Tool. Still not able to roll my phone back from Redstone to the release build. Any help?

Hmm, are you using the usb cable that came with the phone?

That should be a factory cable.

Hmm, it might be a bug...as if I recall correctly some did have issues rolling back in certain builds.

Try using different usb ports and (if you have one) a usb hub.. Some lumia users have reported success with these tricks
