I was unable to find relevant threads/references online - apologies if this was addressed.
Ever since I upgraded to Windows 10 Mobile (starting with the technical preview and now running the full release), my Lumia 1520 sometimes won't let me send a text message, and it delays a long time before finally sending. I press the "Send" button, and it turns grey but the content of my message remains in the "type a message" box just above the keyboard, it does not get sent sometimes for up to 30 seconds. This leaves me stuck sitting there waiting for it to send before I can type a new message or anything because it is greyed out while it is waiting to send.
When I was on Windows 8.1, it never had this problem. I do have a bad habit of being a 'rapid texter' where I will sometimes send 3-5 very short text messages within seconds of eachother because I forget to add something (rather than just thinking it through and hitting send after). On Windows 8.1, when I did this, it would still attempt to "send" the text, but it wouldn't show a timestamp until the message was recognized by the SMS server. If I wanted to, I could send a dozen texts to myself and they would all pop up into little conversation boxes as normal.
Now, on Windows 10, if my phone decides it doesn't like me that day, hitting "send" sometimes gets my text message 'stuck' in the text box just above the keyboard and I'm forced to sit and wait for it to send.
Is this normal? Does my complaint even make sense? If not, I will try to explain better with screenshots. It happens regularly so it's pretty easy to document and get pictures when it happens.
Apologies again if this is a known issue. It is not my network provider as I have tried with Windows 8.1 again and it worked as expected. Text sends instantly and I can keep typing my next one. It happens regardless of my location in or out of the city, regardless of signal strength, 3G, 4G, LTE, so on...
Thanks kindly for any insight!
