So I've been doing some experimenting. One of the top uses for my phone is as a media player, and I love my music loud. Windows 8.1 had excellent audio output from my HTC, 1520, and 830 regardless of earphones; that is, great sound and loudness without having to turn up the volume all that high; it was usually satisfying for me when it hit like, 22 out of 30.
With W10M, however, audio output through earphones seems to have gotten much softer. I find myself needing to turn up volume to 30 to even get the same loudness as in 8.1 levels beforehand. Has anyone else noticed this? Is this true for the Lumia 950 series and other phones that have W10M installed out of the box? Or is this maybe localized to phones that shipped with WP 8/8.1?
