It changes pretty quickly at times...

Right now W10M Insider Fast Ring is at 14361: http://forums.windowscentral.com/win...fast-ring.html

Insider Slow Ring is at 14342: http://forums.windowscentral.com/win...slow-ring.html

After the 14xxx we don't put the extensions as it can change quite rapidly from week to week (.1000, .1001, etc...) Fast and Slow Rings are testing Redstone builds, getting them ready for the Anniversary Update coming this summer.

Insider Release Ring is not on Redstone (14xxx) but on the Threshold Branch (which is the current branch of the OS that consumers are using, 10xxx which stabilized at 10586 for W10M and matches the Threshold 2 Build numbers on PC). for 10586 we do add the extensions as that is all that will change. Insider Release Ring is testing the next cumulative update that will release, 10586.338.The next official push will be .338 or higher. http://forums.windowscentral.com/win...ease-ring.html

Insider Production Ring (which is really withdrawing your device from Insider) stands at 10586.318 which matches the build on Official and would be what you have if you never went Insider and have a qualified for W10M device. http://forums.windowscentral.com/win...18-issues.html

*Note that built for W10M devices seem to break the pattern. Devices like the Lumia 950/XL, 650 and 550 seem to get Release Ring builds without being on Insider.

If your phone is on the eligible list and not waiting for carrier approval (branded phones) use Upgrade Advisor to get the Official release (RTM).

If you use Insider on the Release Ring, the same version is fetched as the recent public Upgrade received by these phones (10.0.10586.xxx): Phones Eligible for Windows 10 Mobile Official.

If your phone is not on the supported list, then 10586.xxx (Threshold) is the end of the line. You may as well use Insider and select Production to un-enroll your phone from Insider, but at least you have W10M. WaaS (Windows as a Service) will deliver future updates within Threshold to you without any Insider access required.

If your phone is on the eligible list and you go Insider and stay on the Release ring you get the next public version early as Release ring in effect is the RTM. This will deliver the most stable Redstone builds to you earlier than OTA push with minimal risk.

For right now, Windows Device Recovery Tool is only flashing 8.1 to models that did not launch with 10 so it is the way to revert if you don't care for W10M: How can I recover/reset/restore my phone software?

On 14356 Windows Insider seems to have become a setting and not an app and instead of giving me three choices of fast, slow and release I get fast and slow and stopping insider releases on this page is only a temporary halt. So how does this work and how do you exit the program?

Release is not a setting (yet) if you are on Redstone builds. Your choices are either continue on in fast or slow, until Redstone sees official release sometime in July, or use WDRT and go back.

You are on Redstone builds, so no Release Ring shows for you. You can't downgrade with Insider. If you went Production (unenrroll) you just sit where you are until official catches up and then passes you. At that point you would start picking up official updates again OTA.

If you want off of Redstone, you have to use WDRT. If your phone is not built for W10M, you will get 8.1. If your phone was built for W10M you will get the version your handset had out of the box...

So WDRT to restore and get off the Redstone builds. You could then use Windows Upgrade Advisor if your phone is officially supported and get official builds (or if your phone is built for W10M just use the normal update channel). Or you could get back on Insider and choose Release Ring. Be aware that eventually when Redstone is at or near RTM, release Ring should see a stable build before the OTA of Redstone to official.

I don't see this as an option on my 950. I am on release preview, so the TH branch. The one thing I do see is to stop receiving builds. Will that do the same thing?

For whatever reason (probably to increase telemetry), Microsoft has made for W10M models getting the same version as Release even when not on Insider. So on a 950 if you go Production, you will still get today's 10586.420 and will continue to match Release. Not sure if/when that will change.

FWIW, 10586.420 is being pushed to Release and Production today.
