To his and my point... I went out and got a new phone. I think the battery was caput in the old one. Now I'm back on insider ring and boom I can't use the edge browser and my app updates are all stuck. Lol come on

Totally agree Christian. I've been a software developer for over 40 years and a Windows proponent for the past 20 years. Software releases from MS have been getting worse and worse. There appears to be no regression testing and even the design philosophy leaves me scratching my head,

I'm sorry but again there seems to be no regression testing or internal qa team

Guess you didn't hear that Nadella fired all the testers...

That's what youse guys are for ... beta testers, I get my check every month. jk

The task of testing every device with multiple permutations of (sometimes troublesome) apps is monumental.
IF your latest build is NOT behaving correctly, when I open XYZ app ...
uninstall XYX app, soft reset, then tell us about your device's performance.

That's a bit dramatic. Sure, they scaled back the team, but I'm positive the mobile test team is still decent sized.

How Windows 10 on both PC and Mobile has behaved to-date though has me convinced mostly to the contrary. :/

Lol I can't use edge or maps. It's insane. I have the 93 latest build. Its like apps are tricking the functionality of the phone.

Hard reset times. They work faster than ever now, especially Edge (even if it still drains battery like a V8 )

I have 14393.0 (latest Fast build) on my Lumia 1520, breathes new life into the phone.
Works very well, I can honestly say, NOTHING is broken (other than Battery tile does NOT display battery level, tap twice in Outlook mail to SELECT ALL)

With 14390, I had issues, which caused me to Hard Reset my phone - after that it worked very well.

I'm convinced that fiddling with the phone while restoring can cause issues, thus I waited.
Perhaps a Hard Reset ... or we're looking at a PEBCAK error.

14393 hasn't stuttered since install for me. I quite like it. (Except there was this period where app notifications were not showing up unless the app was opened... a restart fixed that).

I always do a Soft Reset after major changes to flush the system ...

Though on my Lumia 1520, there are 2 methods I can use:
    - Hold POWER & Volume DOWN until vibration
    - Hold POWER until vibration
I wonder if there is any difference between the two methods, both cause a restart without loss of data.

You can't hard reset and to right back to an insider buiid. Would that it were so simple

Every time I hard-reset, it gets me back on to the insider build I was in. I only have to enable insider preview once. (Did it a couple of times).

YES, it is that simple ... Hard Reset takes you back to the current installed build (don't know what you're doing?)

I have the 93 latest build.
OP has not stopped at 14385 or reverted to Official.

Microsoft is not stopping the train just short of the Anniversary Update station.

This thread is past the point of usefullness.

Issues should be addressed in the build thread: http://forums.windowscentral.com/win...low-rings.html
