Windows 10 on lumia 640

Should I have already got windows 10? My phone is still operating windows 8.1 and no updates seem to be available.

I have read so many stuff about this already that I'm confused. Some places it says that Lumia 640 phones are not compatible if they have an OS higher than something, and other places it says it should completely work, so why is my phone still not operating win 10?

Ya hopefully it will release on 14 December for my Lumia 640.

Took the plunge today and installed Win 10 Mobile Insider Preview on my 640. Had a hiccup during installation which was resolved by rebooting the phone. No major issues. Latest build seems super snappy and stable for the most part. Had to manually add my email accounts though. Other settings migrated without a flaw. If you do not mind going through the Insider program, I would say Win 10 on the 640 is a go.

No. So far the only people using W10M are those who subscribed to get the insider preview, or those who just bought a Lumia 950/XL.
