Field test mode for Windows 10?

I know the old tricks for enabling field test mode (I want to see actual signal strength in dB) on Windows Phone 8.1. But none of these seem to work on Windows 10 Mobile.

This applies to both an old Lumia 1020 that has been running the Insider Preview and my new Lumia 950 (both unlocked).

Has anyone figured out how to access Field Test Mode on Windows 10 Mobile yet?

Yep, those test modes don't exist any more, although there are apparently engineer specific firmwares that have these modes in.

You've probably seen there's some system information apps out there that can give you all kinds of information of data networks, but not for voice, so I'm guessing it's not available to developers to display. If I were you, I'd request this feature using the Windows Feedback app (or upvote any existing request for the same thing).

I am using field test mode on my Lumia 950 XL and it was quite simple really. In "Gadgets" when I plug in a headset it ask me what apps I would like to use with it. Field Test is listed. I checked field test and now can enter it from the wired accessory item in the Gadget app.A__D56D.jpg

I can open Field test via app Device Diagnostic Hub where you can find Field test in Applications list. Then long press on app Field test and select in new window Open application. Try this method

works on 640 LTE and 1530 rm940, not on 928, so it seems this was removed after a while, then maybe if I flash the 928 to its original 8.0 rom it should work? would be great since that phone has a disabled lte band, band 4 to be exact, which is the same and only band available where I live

I installed (configured and discovered) this "Device Diagnostic Hub" app, but there is no Field Test (or similar system app) in application list.

On your screenshot, FieldTest has a store icon (and not a Windows icon), meaning that this is an app not included in OS, but maybe added by Nokia in their app bundle.
I flashed my device to 8.1 and I'm updagring to W10... Let's cross fingers.

I don't know but it's possible. L950DS has W10 like a standard. So there I have it and I can open it like i described before.

Even after upgraded from 8.1 to 10, Field Test app is not listed on my 930. It looks like CV related (search for "Nokia Field Test for Lumia 930?" thread in this forum).
