Windows 10 mobile edge under lock screen

Hello All,
I've had my windows phone since 8.0 and a very useful feature for me was loading a youtube video in IE , locking the screen to save battery and popping the phone in my pocket when I went out for a walk. The youtube video would continue to play all was good.
Edge and windows phone 10 does not allow this to happen, in fact if I put on a youtube playlist and do not lock the phone it plays the video and keeps the screen on causing the phone to become very hot and In some cases overheat and turn off.

This was great feature of ie8 and wp8 I really hope to see it in wp10.
Anybody else have this?

yes I also have this annoying issue, and I have no idea how to fix it, I'm using another app for playing youtube vids under lock screen

need to add this to uservoice for WP10M if it is not already there.

I have similar issue with some podcast apps that do not play well under lock screen.

Try using a third party app, like myTube! (which is also Universal), they allow this
