will a firmware update for the phones be accompanying the official win10m update?

The previous major windows phone updates did come with firmware updates, if I am not mistaken. I've got a lumia 532 running the latest insider build and the battery performance is still not as it was with WP8.1, so I guess a firmware update will sort that out.

that's the million dollar question I'm hoping they do to polish off the battery issues or any other device specific issues. Microsoft is in charge of all the lumias I haven't heard anything on that from them and its up to the other manufacturers which could be up in the air for them haven't heard anything from them either

Actually most Lumias, at least in the US, are controlled by the carriers, so they would have to approve any firmware update.
