Why couldn't we have a real x86 processor in our phone. Wouldn't this eliminate all the compatibility issues, solve most of the app gap, and make continuum even more relevant? I assume there isn't an intel/amd processor small enough, but it sounds like the perfect solution.

Pretty have the reason for Surface Phone is x86. but it will NOT begin to fix the mobile app issue.

It'll make Continuum so much more relevant, but yea.

Also worth noting there's some x86 Android phones actually.

oh there are, more than small enough really, and im certain this surface phone will have a x86 cpu, its the next chapter, same as rt > surface 3 evolution, app gap? irrelevant, try comparing billions of apps across a 30 year long period of development to todays mobile OS duopoly, this "phone" will be a category of its own

btw i've always wondered wth are those x86 droids for? i mean they should emulate ARM apps all the time, isnt that pointless?

I'd love to see an evolution of continuum in this phone where it runs 10M and can run x86 apps like a PC with a display dock. This would change computing
