Windows 10 Mobile on x86 tablet

I have an 8", mid/low spec tablet that came with Windows 8.1 and I upgraded to 10. Windows 10 Mobile x86 is apparently on the way and I would be interested in possibly replacing the 10 desktop version with the mobile version as, although it copes very admirably, I think it would work better and faster with a lower-impact OS.

Does anyone know if this will even be possible? Obviously I'd be happy to join the Insider program if it is indeed possible.

Does anyone know anything about the progress of this version of the OS?

It doesn't exist for now, and I suspect it wont for that tablet in the future without some hackiness or modding.
