How do I block Facebook notifications on gmail ?

I've already uninstalled the Facebook app from my L950 XL but i keep being inundated with Facebook (friends) notifications. on my gmail and wanted to know if there is anyway to block them permanently. I think that Facebook is way too intrusive.

? Go to your gmail account, open fb notification, head to the bottom of mail and look out ' Unsubscribe ' link.

?Open Fb in IE, Go to Privacy Settings-> Notifications -> Email address

Deleting Facebook application from your device won't stop getting new notifications. You will get Facebook notifications on your registered email address unless you turned of it from Facebook settings page. Follow these steps:

1. Login your Facebook account.
2. Go to settings.
3. Click on Notifications.
4. Choose Email address.
5. Select Notifications you've to turned off
