I would think 586 will get more updates before we move to RS1 release.
Hi, can you please elaborate steps after hard reset for a smooth upgrade to Insider on Lumia 920?
Actually worse, with windows phone 7 we at least got one last version 7.8 to help make it look like 8.0. I'd be very happy if they would release a 8.2 with the settings area cleaned up and improved action panel for my L635. Everything else in 10 they can keep.
New configuration update for the 1020 on Fast Ring, everything goes very very smooth after update, only blank icon for Groove, that's all.
So great update to the system
Did Microsoft say that "All" older phones will be updated or just "older phones would be updated? Because if it's the latter than technically Microsoft is keeping to their word as the L640 is an older phone. People just assumed. But if they said "All" then they definitely need to stop overpromising because all they're doing is giving more ammo to the haters.

Only this, no other updates, only Configuration Update.
But why release a Configuation Update for a phone not longer supported?!
we'll see

Search scrolling top of page the articles about Windows 10 roll out: Gabe said for x20 series build 10586 will be the last in Insider. Maybe Redstone will be released in slow on Summer for all windows 10 updatable phone, not x20 serie.
You can still normally use 10586 but after that day you'll never get support, if there are not change of strategy.
Collecting feedback revealed Win10 is too much problematic on X20 serie for a solution.

The idea of idea of Windows 10 being the last version of windows seems a bit disingenuous really. It's still going to change, only it won't be separate distinct versions, just a continual upgrade. There still has to be a point where your device will no longer be able to handle the latest features and hence you'll have to upgrade just as you would in the past. That's happen when people stops using brain.
Win10 is THE LAST MS o.s. , it will not be a Win11. It will develop in future build after build.
Hardware using 10 now can use 10 in future. That's so obvious I can't believe there's the need of writing!
