Become an insider to get Windows 10 Mobile then leave program?

Probably a dumb question but I am new to this and too the forums. Anyways, I have the Lumia 640 on MetroPCS and I have not received the windows 10 mobile update OTA. So I was wondering if I could become an insider and download the latest production build then leave the program? Or do I have to stay in it and just select production builds? I just want the current releases, not the preview builds. This will be my daily driver. Thanks in advance!

You can get the windows insider app and when launching select production ring. It's the official w10 build. But I don't recommend it over 8.1 but seems the 640 handles w10 pretty well.
